The New Testament & salvation

 

In the New Testament you will NOT find that salvation is about accepting Jesus.

NOWHERE in the New Testament you are called to accept Jesus into your heart.

In the New Testament you will NOT find anything like sinner`s prayer.

Or salvation prayer.

NOWHERE in the New Testament you are called to convert to Christianity

or to become something like Christian.

Also NOWHERE in the New Testament you are called to convert to any other

religion, for example Judaism or Islam.

 

 

The difference between salvation in the Old & New Testaments

 

The Levites (priests) in the Old Testament did not forgive sins,

they made sacrifices for sins.

Only Yahweh our God can forgive sins.

The difference between salvation in the Old Testament and

the New Testament is the sacrifices.

In the Old Testament the sacrifices were animals once a year and year after year.

Animal sacrifices took place once a year mainly as a reminder of sins.

The blood of bulls and goats could never fully remove sin-

only cover it for a time.

Animal sacrifices could not take away the sins of the world.

 

Hebrews 10:4

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

 

 

Only Messiah’s death fulfilled Yahweh our God’s will to forgive our sins-

once for all.

In the New Testament there is just one sacrifice one time and for all.

 

Hebrews 9:12

12 Not with the blood of goats and calves,

but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all,

having obtained eternal redemption.

 

Hebrews 10:10

10 By His will we have been made holy through the offering of the body of

Messiah Yeshua (Christ Jesus) once for all.

Popes, bishops, priests & preachers

 

Popes, bishops, priests, preachers and so on CANNOT forgive or

proclaim sins forgiven.

This is 100% pure Christian and non- biblical doctrine and heresy.

Why ??

Only Yeshua (Jesus) had power on earth to forgive sins.

According to the Law: For the wages of sin is death.

Yahweh our God CANNOT do against His teachings or Instructions (the Law).

So, someone or something has to die.

 

 

David & Bathsheba

 

For example, David sinned with Bathsheba.

David broke many of the 10 Commandments.

Consequently David`s and Bathsheba`s first son died-

but their second son was Solomon.

We can see here the love and grace of Yahweh our God.

The same God of the Old & New Testaments.

 

2 Samuel 12:13-14

13 So David said to Nathan,

“I have sinned against the Lord.”

And Nathan said to David,

“The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.

14 However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies

of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.”

Sins & water baptism

 

Why we take the water baptism ??

For the remission of our sins.

We get our sins forgiven in the water baptism.

We take the water baptism into Yeshua (Jesus) and in His name.

After that we can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit-

usually with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

 

Matthew 26:28

28 For this is My blood of the new covenant,

which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

 

Acts 2:38

38 Then Peter said to them,

“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ

for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

 

Acts 22:16

16 And now why are you waiting?

Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins,

calling on the name of the Lord.’

 

Revelation 1:5

5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead,

and the ruler over the kings of the earth.

To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

 

 

The Passover Lamb

 

Biblical Yeshua (Jesus) is our Passover Lamb.

Yeshua (Jesus) Himself told us that he would be in the grave 3 days and 3 nights.

3 days and 3 nights is 72 hours.

A lot can happen in 3 days & 3 nights…

Biblical Yeshua (Jesus) was in tomb on Wednesday and resurrected on Saturday.

 

Matthew 12:40

40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish,

so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

 

 

Easter ??

 

Christendom teaches to observe Good Friday regarding Messiah’s death and

Easter Sunday regarding Messiah’s resurrection.

However, that is only 2 nights and a portion of 3 days.

Can Messiah’s own words be discounted ??

No, no, no and no.

The way His death and resurrection is commonly taught by Christendom

is not correct according to the Bible.

 

The Bible tells us of Passover- not of Easter.

 

Passover

 

Exodus 12:13

13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are.

And when I see the blood,

I will pass over you;

and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

 

This is the why we all should celebrate Passover instead of Easter-

without bunnies and eggs and all that nonsense.

Above in Exodus 12:13 is the real reason.

 

 

Only a blood sacrifice can atone for sin

 

Attempting to understand Yeshua’s (Jesus`) death on the Roman execution stake

without comprehending the blood sacrifices in the Old Testament is like trying to

build a house without a foundation.

The blood sacrifice of Yeshua (Jesus) was shed to restore us to right relationship

with Yahweh our God.

 

 

Forgiveness

 

Leviticus 17:11

11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood,

and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls;

for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.

 

Hebrews 9:14,22

14 how much more will the blood of Messiah—

who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God—

cleanse our conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood,

and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

 

Ephesians 1:7

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood,

the forgiveness of sins,

according to the riches of His grace.

 

 

Yeshua (Jesus) did it for me- and for you !!

 

1 John 1:7

7 But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light,

we have fellowship with one another and the blood of His Son 

Yeshua purifies us from all sin.

 

1 Peter 1:18-19

18 You know that you were redeemed from the futile way of life handed down

from your ancestors—not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 

19 but with precious blood like that of a lamb without defect or spot,

the blood of Messiah.

 

 

Churches (buildings)

 

You CANNOT find biblical Yeshua (Jesus) either in the churches anymore.

I remember well the times here in Finland when in churches the priests

or preachers pronounced the Bible valiantly and loudly.

It was a long time ago, in early 70`s.

For example, my young adult boys​ don`t have a clue of it.

And many many times it makes me feel like crying when I see

the Christian churches of today. 

Biblical Yeshua (Jesus) has left the buildings already long ago…

I just had to begin to follow Yeshua (Jesus) in the beginning of the year 2000-

also then I stopped spending my time in the Christian churches.

 

 

Acts 17:24

24 “God, who made the world and everything in it,

since He is Lord of heaven and earth,

does not dwell in temples made with hands.

 

Luke 17:20-21

20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come,

He answered them and said, 

“The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 

21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ 

For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

 

 

Repent !!

 

Biblical Yeshua/ Jesus did Himself and also told us to:

 

Matthew 4:17

17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, 

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

 

Luke 24:44-49

44 Then He said to them,

“These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you,

that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses

and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”

45 And He opened their understanding,

that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

46 Then He said to them,

“Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer

and to rise from the dead the third day,

47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in

His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48 And you are witnesses of these things.

49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you;

but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued

with power from on high.”

 

 

How to born again ??

 

Biblical Yeshua/ Jesus told us also to be born again of water and the Spirit:

 

John 3:3,5

3 Jesus answered and said to him, 

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again,

he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

5 Jesus answered, 

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit,

he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

 

Galatians 3:27 For all of you who were immersed in Messiah have clothed yourselves with Messiah.

I left Churchianity and just simply started to follow Yeshua (Jesus) in 2000.

“Follow Me !!”

It is a call to obedience.

It is no mere invitation, but an imperative command.

Those who heard the words of Yeshua (Jesus) immediately left everything

to follow Him.

 

”Follow Me!!”

Those 2 words together form a command found 13 times in the Gospels.

We obey Yeshua (Jesus) because we are already saved- NOT to be saved !!

 

”Follow Me!!”

27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

 

 

The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot)

 

Biblical Yeshua (Jesus) was born in autumn at Feast of Tabernacles-

varies from late September to late October- NOT in December 25th.

Jesus said to him, 

“It is written again,

‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’

Then Jesus said to him, 

“Away with you, Satan!

For it is written,

‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’

 

 

Sin, judgement and hell

 

Biblical Yeshua (Jesus) warned us about sin, judgement and hell.

He spoke on hell and destruction in over 40 verses in the Bible.

He also did preach about true repentance, righteousness, eternal life and salvation.

Biblical Yeshua (Jesus) often used very strong language and told things straight out.

Correction is not judgment, as the Bible says that we should correct, rebuke and

be bold to those who are sinning.

 

1 Timothy 5:20

20 Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all,

that the rest also may fear.

 

 

It is to be done in an act of caring for them in the hope that they will believe.

That way we could contribute to the saving of a soul.

If we don’t, we could be responsible for suppressing the truth which could mean

eternal death instead of eternal life for that person.

People are more likely to take note and remember strong stirring words.

Strong words cause people to repent and not remain lukewarm.

Biblical Yeshua/ Jesus taught against religion(s) & religious leaders

 

The New Testament records that the religious leaders hated Yeshua (Jesus) to

the point that they arrested Him, tried Him, and brought Him to Pilate for a

sentence of death.

What made them so angry at Yeshua (Jesus) that they wanted to see Him dead ??

Here is some reasons:

 

• The claims that Yeshua (Jesus) made
• The deeds that Yeshua (Jesus) did
• Yeshua (Jesus) was a threat to their religious system and vails
• Yeshua (Jesus) was a threat to their way of life
• The people with whom Yeshua (Jesus) socialized
• Yeshua (Jesus) called them hypocrites
• The lack of respect Yeshua (Jesus) had for their religious traditions

 

All religions- including Christianity- are full of different manmade traditions

and religious leaders- smaller or bigger.

Remember also that the Bible is NOT a book.

It is the eternal and imperishable Word of Yahweh our God.

Isaiah 40:8 

The grass withers, the flower fades,

But the word of our God stands forever.

 

Mark 7:6-9 (Isaiah 29:13)

6 He answered and said to them, 

“Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written:

‘This people honors Me with their lips,

But their heart is far from Me.

7 And in vain they worship Me,

Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’

8 For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men—

the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.”

9 He said to them, 

“All too well you reject the commandment of God,

that you may keep your tradition. 

 

 

Cesare Borgia

 

Biblical Yeshua/ Jesus was no model either.

Cesare Borgia (1475-1507) was the orginal model of the pics, paintings,

statues, sculptures and crucifixes that religious people think portrays Jesus.

For example, Leonardo Da Vinci painted many pictures of Cesare Borgia as Jesus.

Pope Alexander lV then ordered the destruction of all art depicting a Semitic Jesus

and commissioned a number of paintings depicting a Caucasian Jesus.

His son, Cardinal Cesare Borgia, was the model for these paintings.

Thus, the nastiest of all the Borgias, became the iconic Caucasian Jesus so loved

by Christians today.

 

 

Yeshua`s (Jesus`) semblance

 

The Bible reveals very little about the physical appearance of Yeshua (Jesus).

Instead of having long hair, Jesus would have had short hair.

Instead of having pale skin, He would have had a tanned-

dark but NOT black- complexion.

If Yeshua (Jesus) had been black, then today there should be many black people

in Israel- yet there is hardly any.

Instead of being thin and fragile, He would have been masculine and strong.

Biblical Yeshua (Jesus) most probably looked like an average Jewish man from

the tribe of Judah (and King David`s lineage) of His time in the Middle East.

Yeshua (Jesus) was NOT a pale European with long hair either…

 

 

Long or short hair ??

 

1 Corinthians 11:14

14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair,

it is a dishonor to him?

The Lion of Judah

 

Biblical Yeshua (Jesus) did NOT come to establish a new religion like Christianity.

Christianity was born later in Rome in the 4th century.

 

Yeshua (Jesus) came to reveal to us:

• Yahweh our God
• Yahweh our God`s will

 

Yeshua (Jesus) was a Jew and a Jewish Messiah-

the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

Yeshua (Jesus) was strongly against religions and religious leaders at His time.

He is still strongly against religions and religious leaders at these days.

Most of the people who lived in and near Jerusalem were Jews who believed

in one God.

The Christianity was born later, about 300AD- 400AD in Rome by

Roman emperor Constantine.

After Constantine’s death, Christianity became the official religion of the

Roman Empire- mixed with many many Roman gods and traditions.

We can ask:

Biblical Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah or Jesus, the Greco- Roman Christian Christ ??

 

 

Hypocrisy

 

Luke 16:15

15 And He said to them, 

“You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts.

For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

 

Luke 20:45-47

45 Then, in the hearing of all the people, He said to His disciples, 

46 “Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes,

love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues,

and the best places at feasts, 

47 who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers.

These will receive greater condemnation.”

 

Luke 17:20-21

20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come,

He answered them and said, 

“The kingdom of God does not come with observation;

For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Business

 

Biblical Yeshua/ Jesus was NOT a businessman.

You cannot buy or sell Biblical Yeshua/ Jesus.

 

Mark 11:15-17

15 So they came to Jerusalem.

Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought

and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and

the seats of those who sold doves. 

16 And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. 

17 Then He taught, saying to them, 

“Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? 

But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ”

 

John 2:13-16

13 Now the Passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 

14 And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves,

and the money changers doing business. 

15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple,

with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and

overturned the tables. 

16 And He said to those who sold doves, 

“Take these things away!

Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

 

Luke 16:13

13 “No servant can serve two masters;

for either he will hate the one and love the other,

or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other.

You cannot serve God and mammon.”

 

 

Home fellowships

 

Biblical Yeshua (Jesus) and His early followers gathered together in their homes.

Fellowships based in a home were in many cases, the only way believers could

come together as a group.

Over 20 home fellowships are found scattered throughout the New Testament.

After the death of Yeshua (Jesus), the early congregation met mostly in small

groups where someone lived.

These gatherings show us it is perfectly acceptable to meet in this fashion for

the express purpose of learning what the Bible teaches and for worshipping God.

 

 

For edification

 

1 Corinthians 14:26

26 How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm,

has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation.

Let all things be done for edification.

 

Matthew 26:30

30 And when they had sung a hymn,

they went out to the Mount of Olives.

 

Luke 22:19-20

19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 

“This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

“This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.

 

 

The Great Commission

 

Mark 16:14-18

14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table;

and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart,

because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 

15 And He said to them, 

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 

16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved;

but he who does not believe will be condemned.

In My name they will cast out demons;

they will speak with new tongues; 

18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly,

it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick,

and they will recover.”

all the prophets in the kingdom of God,
