Genesis 17:1-9
The Sign of the Covenant
1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old,
Yahweh appeared to Abram and said to him,
“I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.
2 And I will make My covenant between Me and you,
and will multiply you exceedingly.”
3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying:
4 “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you,
and you shall be a father of many nations.
5 No longer shall your name be called Abram,
but your name shall be Abraham;
for I have made you a father of many nations.
6 I will make you exceedingly fruitful;
and I will make nations of you,
and kings shall come from you.
7 And I will establish My covenant between Me and you
and your descendants after you in their generations,
for an everlasting covenant,
to be God to you and your descendants after you.
8 Also I give to you and your descendants after you
the land in which you are a stranger,
all the land of Canaan,
as an everlasting possession;
and I will be their God.”
9 And God said to Abraham:
“As for you, you shall keep My covenant,
you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.
Jeremiah 16:15
15 ‘Yahweh lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land
of the north and from all the lands where He had scattered them.’
“For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their ancestors”.
Who is the rightful owner of the most contested piece of land in the world ??
Everyone seems to have an answer to this question that has captured
the world’s attention.
The Bible prophesies a time when the nation of Israel and Jerusalem in particular,
will be a burdensome stone to the nations of the earth.
In light of recent political events, we are seeing the beginnings of what Zechariah
wrote about almost 2 600 years ago.
The media, politicians, pop culture and even the UN (United Nations)
and the EU (European Union) have made the Israelis and especially Jews
out to be the problem again.
This is because many choose to believe a popular lie and ignore the
facts about the Promised Land.
Zechariah 12:3
3 And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone
for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces,
though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.
The Palestinian lie
When you reduce the Israeli-Palestinian issue down to the ridiculous,
you will find it’s root cause.
The cause is the lie about ownership and the Palestinian lie in particular.
The premise of the Palestinian lie is quite simple:
Tell a lie often enough and people will believe it.
That strategy has worked and worked so well that it is hard to find a
person who will ask these fundamental questions:
- Who are the Palestinian people ??
- where did they originate from ??
- do they have a legitimate claim to the Holy Land ??
The point of this writing is to focus on the lie that has made the situation in
the Middle East go from bad to worse and how it will ultimately be used as
fuel to turn the all nations against Israel.
God sent His Son Yeshua/ Jesus to die for the sins of all people;
Jew and Gentile alike.
In the first place,
for example Jews and Palestinians
(like all people) need no land-
they need Yeshua/ Jesus.
The Palestinian lie is quite simple:
Society is continually repeating the lie that there is in fact Palestinians.
And a land called Palestine.
To strengthen the Palestinian claim to the Promised Land,
some have unjustifiably claimed that the present-day Palestinians are
the descendants of the ancient Canaanites and the Israelians stole their land.
Who are the Palestinian people ??
The Palestine does not exist- never was and never shall be.
Or should I honestly say:
The Fakestine…
Palestine
The word Palestine
is derived from the Hebrew word pelesheth פְּלֶשֶׁת.
Roughly translated to mean rolling
or migratory or wandering.
The term was used to describe the inhabitants of the land to the northeast
of Egypt- the Philistines.
The Philistines were enemies of God`s chosen people Israelites-
for example Goliath.
Israelites’ archenemy; the Philistines
Palaestina
The terms Palestine and Palestinian have origins dating back to the
2nd century AD.
Cesar Hadrianus- after being made emperor AD 117- he inherited a
Roman Empire in its prime.
It is a well documented historical record and matter of fact that the
Roman Empire and it’s ruler Hadrian wanted to get rid of all Jewish
identity in the region.
He used the name of Israel’s ancient foes the Philistines and renamed
the land Palaestina (Latin) AD 135.
During a suppression of a Jewish rebellion in Judea, Roman warriors were
dispatched to take control of the region, leading to the death of 580,000 Jews.
The Philistines were located to the south of Israel in Gaza Strip and to the north
of Israel in modern coastal Lebanon and parts of Syria.
The term Palestine was rarely used until Israel declared her Independence
in May 14, 1948.
And the term Palestinian wasn’t widely used until the 1960s and 1970s.
The Israeli pound or Israeli lira
The Israeli pound or Israeli lira was the currency of the State of Israel
from 9 June 1952 until 23 February 1980.
Because of The British Mandate from 1920 to 1948,
it was a currency equal in value and pegged to the UK Pound.
It was replaced with the shekel on 24 February 1980,
which was again replaced with the New Shekel in 1985.
In the Old Testament the currency was also shekel;

Yasser Arafat
Yasser Arafat- a well known terrorist- was the chairman of the PLO
(Palestine Liberation Organization) and his goal was to legitimize a
people and cause that have no historic precedent.
The PLO
The PLO seeks to liberate Palestine through armed struggle.
Since 1994, the PA (Palestinian Authority) has been the governing
body of the so called Palestinian people.
Where did the Palestinians originate from ??
Throughout history, there has never been a Palestinian people as a distinct group.
This is a fabrication of terms used by Arabs to identify the people who occupy
the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and other parts of Israel.
These people are Arabs from Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and surrounding countries.
The Arabs in the disputed areas can trace their recent history to Israel’s
neighboring countries.
Also in reality, those who call themselves Palestinians today
are a mixed ethnic group.
Many Palestinians today are actually descendants of people who came from
Bosnia, the Balkans, Caucasus, Arabian Peninsula, Sudan, Egypt, Syria
and Lebanon.
A great number came to Israel during the British Mandate to find work.
Arabs
Arabs living in the land before the British Mandate had no united nationalism
because they were part of the Ottoman Empire (1517–1917).
Origins are traceable through Arabic last names, which are largely identifiable
with clans, tribes, and nationalities.
In 1882, fewer than 250,000 Arabs lived there,
and the majority of them had arrived in recent decades.
Arabs in Israel
While it’s true that Arab children are born in these disputed territories,
they are just Arabs who live in Israel.
They are not Palestinians who live in occupied territory.
Deuteronomy 11:10-12
10 For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt
from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot,
as a vegetable garden;
11 but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys,
which drinks water from the rain of heaven,
12 a land for which Yahweh your God cares;
the eyes of Yahweh your God are always on it,
from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.
Do the so called Palestinian people have a legitimate claim to the Holy Land ??
The short answer is NO.
To have a legitimate claim you must have historical precedent and
there was never a Palestinian people in the land of Israel.
Let’s go back to our original point about legitimacy;
if you tell a lie often enough, people will believe it.
People and organizations such as the late Yasser Arafat, Mahmoud Abbas,
Tony Blair, the Vatican, the EU and the UN are promoting a distorted view of
history and holding negotiations based on a false supposition that Arabs with
no historical claim, deserve land that rightly belongs to the Israelis.
The Catholic Church
Also Pope Francis has made a very unfortunate move by officially signing
a treaty recognizing Palestinian statehood that should be approved by the
Vatican in short order.
PA (Palestinian Authority) president Mahmoud Abbas has said for example:
“I will never allow a single Israeli to live among us on Palestinian land”.
“Palestinian Arabs who murder Israeli Jews cannot be punished”.
There are also reports that the Pope referred to Mahmoud Abbas as an
Angel of peace.
In all honesty, Mahmoud Abbas is a terrorist-
Abbas rules the land and Hamas rules the underground.
The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas has been declared nothing less than
a terrorist organisation.
Pope`s lies
The fact is, when the Pope, who is a global figure makes a treaty with
an illegitimate group like the so called Palestinians, they gain instant
credibility in millions of minds- regardless of the facts.
Add to this the social media frenzy and down right antisemitic actions and
you have a cause based on nothing but lies.
Another enemy of Israel is Iran
Likewise, the Iranian regime has used naive leaders in Europe and the US to
make it easier for them to produce the weapons necessary to exterminate Israel,
such as with the signing of the Iranian Nuclear Deal.
Deuteronomy 11:8-9
8 “Therefore you shall keep every commandment
which I command you today,
that you may be strong,
and go in and possess the land which you cross over to possess,
9 and that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord swore
to give your fathers, to them and their descendants,
a land flowing with milk and honey.
Numbers 13:1-2
Spies Sent into Canaan
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Send men to spy out the land of Canaan,
which I am giving to the children of Israel;
from each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man,
every one a leader among them.
Exodus 3:8
8 So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians,
and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land,
to a land flowing with milk and honey,
to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and
the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.
Canaan
Canaan (or the Land of Canaan) was the name of a large and prosperous country
which corresponds roughly to present-day Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Israel.
Arabs in Israel
The Arabs in Israel are treated fairly and Arab laborers flock to work in
Israeli factories instead of those in the West Bank where wages are sometimes
double that of Arab employers.
Arab citizens in Israel enjoy modern amenities and a stable government.
Compare that with the poor living conditions in Baghdad Irak, Teheran Iran
or Amman Jordan and there is simply no comparison.
The governing bodies of Hamas and the PA (Palestinian Authority) take western
aid money meant to help improve the lives of the so called Palestinian people.
Western aid money
Much of the money ends up lining the pockets of the governing officials and
used to procure weapons that are used to wage jihad on the citizens and
population centers of Israel.
The Hamas thugs routinely place their weapons of war near playgrounds,
schools, hospitals, mosques and homes of civilians.
These actions are indicative of the mindset of the entities Israel is forced to
go to the bargaining table with groups calling for the destruction of Israel.
2 state solution
Israel has put numerous offers on the table and they have been soundly rejected
by the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization).
Land for peace simply will not work because ultimately Abbas and Hamas don’t
want a two state solution.
Their goal is complete control and domination in Israel with
Yerushalayim/ Jerusalem as their capital.
What about Israelis history in the Promised Land ??
God made a promise to Abraham and his descendants.
For that reason, it still is The Promised Land.
Genesis 15:18
18 On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying:
“To your descendants I have given this land,
from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates.
Israelians
True to God’s Word, the Israelians (the 10 lost tribes of Israel) were exiled
but most of them shall return to the Promised Land.
Despite of that, a remnant (2 tribes/ Judah & Benjamin) has always remained
in the Promised Land.
In reality, the Israelians have maintained ties to their historic homeland for
more than 3,700 years.
Even after the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem and the beginning
of the exile in the 6th century BC, Israelian life in the Promised Land continued
and often flourished.
Despite widespread persecution, large communities were reestablished in
Jerusalem and Tiberias by the 9th century.
In the 11th century, Israelian communities grew in Rafah, Gaza, Ashkelon,
Jaffa and Caesarea.
The Crusader massacres of the 12th century were not all-destructive either:
Israelian communities continued to grow in the Promised Land over the next
few centuries and 10,000 Israelians lived in the Promised Land by the early 1800s.
By 1920 about 60,000 Israelians lived in the Promised Land.
The population increased to over 800,000 Israelians by 1948.
Today, over 6 million Israelians live in Israel.
The Holy Land
A short article of Israelis presence in the Holy Land for over 3 000 years in
Jerusalem Post, click or tap the link below:
Temple Mount
As recently as 1924, the Supreme Muslim Council, which controlled the
Temple Mount area, published its first English-language tourist guide which stated:
“The site is one of the oldest in the world.
Its sanctity dates from the earliest times.
Its identity with the site of Solomon’s Temple is beyond dispute.
This, too, is the spot, according to universal belief, on which David built there an
altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.”
(A Brief Guide to al-Haram al-Sharif)
Solomon’s Temple
And even though the Muslim Council once acknowledged that the Temple Mount
was indisputably the site of Solomon’s Temple, when the Jordanian Supreme Awqaf
Council gained administration of the Mount after the 1948 War of Independence,
Israelian heritage was denied.
In the revised 1954 edition of A Brief Guide to al-Haram al-Sharif, published by
the Supreme Awqaf Council, no mention is made of the First and Second Temples
or Israelian veneration for the site.
There has been a continuous Israelis presence in the Holy Land for over 3,500 years
that predates Islam by 2 000 years.
Jerusalem is mentioned in the Bible over 800 times.
The Koran never mentions the word Jerusalem- zero times.
For Jerusalem to be called the 3rd holiest city in Islam is simply a modern
fabrication to attempt to legitimize a claim with no historical evidence to back it up.
During the Ottoman rule in the area Jerusalem was in a state of decay.
It is true that after the Bar Kokhba Revolt in 132 AD, there was a minimal
Israelian presence in the Promised Land, but a small number of Israelis managed
to stay in Israel.
Small Israelian communities existed in Ein Gedi and the Golan area through the
middle ages.
The political powers of today seem bent on dividing up God’s Covenant Land.
The Bible has repeated warnings about the days ahead when nations attempt to
undo what God has done.
God`s Word
Unlike political agreements and the promises of man God’s Word is always true
and His Covenants are as sure as His holy name.
It has become clear that the EU, UN, and unfortunately earlier also the US are
exerting tremendous pressure on the Israeli’s to give up their land.
Combine the hostile political climate, the Pope’s stand for Palestine,
the calls for Israel’s destruction, the antisemitism on college campuses,
and the brainwashing of biblically ignorant evangelicals by many social
gospel leaders and you have the perfect storm.
It’s not hard to see in the not too distant future that:
“all nations will gather against Israel.”
Satan hates Israel
When you see the hate filled, ignorant, lopsided, anti Israel and anti Jewish
propaganda understand where it originates from.
Satan hates Israel, it’s people and it’s God.
The prophets, the Bible, the apostles, and the early congregation
all started right there.
The gospel has gone out from there.
It started with the great commission at the Mt. of Olives.
Men including Pharoah, Haman, Hitler and the coming antichrist have
attempted or will attempt to put an end to God’s promises.
During the Crusades, many Israelians were slaughtered.
Isaiah 56:6-7
6 “Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him,
and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath,
and not profane it, and hold fast to My covenant;
7 them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain,
and let them rejoice in My house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and their slaughterings are accepted on My altar,
for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”
Zechariah 14:4
4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
And half of it toward the south.
Political turmoil
Understand that the political turmoil in the Middle East is simply an indicator
of the nearness of the Yeshua’s/ Jesus` return.
We should see the Israeli-Palestinian issue for what it is:
An attempt to undermine what God has done.
It is a very sad and frankly unconscionable that the Israelis have been chased around
the globe for much of the last 2,000 years via pogroms, expulsions, and persecution
only to come back to their rightful and biblical homeland and much of the world
still wants them out.
This lie about a Palestinian people seems to be one of the issues that galvanize
world opinion and will ultimately make Jerusalem and burdensome stone and
a cup of trembling.
The whole world seems to be calling for the diminishing of Israelis from
the Promised Land and promoting of the Arabs as the rightful owners.
We are seeing the beginnings of the end times.
No one knows the day or hour of Yeshua’s/ Jesus` return, but we seem to be
closer than ever.
And the Promised Land DOES exist, even today !!!!

Genesis 15:18 (ISR98):

Deuteronomy 11:24 (ISR98):

Battles between the Israelites and the Philistines
The following is a list of battles purported in the Bible between the Israelites
and the Philistines:
1.The Battle of Shephelah (2 Chronicles 28:18).
2. Israelites defeated at the Battle of Aphek, Philistines capture the Ark
3. Philistines defeated at the Battle of Eben-Ezer (1 Samuel 7:3–14).
4. Skirmish at Michmash, Philistines routed by Jonathan and his men
(1 Samuel 14).
5. Near the Valley of Elah, David defeats Goliath in single combat
(1 Samuel 17).
6. The Philistines defeat Israelites on Mount Gilboa, killing King Saul and
his three sons Jonathan, Abinadab and Malkishua (1 Samuel 31).
7. Hezekiah defeats the Philistines as far as Gaza and its territory
Israel today
In present-day Israel, one thing still bothers me:
the flag of Israel with the Star of David.
The Star of David is also known as Shield of David (Magen David).
Its shape is that of a hexagram, the compound of two equilateral triangles.
The hexagram is a satanic symbol and the number 6 is associated with satan
in the Bible.
(Read more: The Star of David or the Menorah ??)
The Hebrews brought the Egyptian pagan idols and images with them to
the wilderness and even in the Promised Land, including the golden calf,
the star of Rempham and the tent of Moloch.
Magen David…
Unlike the menorah (candelabrum with 7 branches), the Lion of Judah and
the shofar (ram’s-horn trumpet), the Star of David was never a uniquely symbol
of Israelians.
But the Israeli passport does not bother me at all…
